Keith's Collings

OM3C

Sitka Spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, 1 3/4" nut.

Collings Guitars makes fine steel string guitars. Bill Collings started making guitars in 1973. Now they are up to about 1000 or so instruments per year. Collings designs are inspired by the Golden Era Martin guitars made in the 1930's. Collings OM guitars are popular these days, and are wonderful guitars with a clear, balanced tone. The Dreads and other models are also of the highest quality with great tone and playability.

The spruce on the face has such incredible grain and cross grain that it almost looks quilted. I wanted to show that in these pictures, but the quick photos, without good lighting just don't do it justice. I bought this wonderful instrument from "Uncle Kit" at the Old Town Pickin Parlor in Arvada Colorado. They stock many fine guitars and are a pleasure to deal with. Check out their web site.
